Terms & Conditions

Using This Website

• All rights to our website design and all images on it belong to Jon Price, Silversmith (T/A Teesside Silversmith) unless explicitly stated. Copyright and other rights to the design, look, style, appearance and content of it are also the intellectual property of the aforementioned. You may view and print the website only as a buyer or potential buyer from us. You may not modify, publish, reproduce, distribute or broadcast in any format any material found within this site without the expressed, written permission of Jon Price, Silversmith.
• We may change anything on our website at any time, when the need arises. We will not make any notifications or announcements unless it is specifically necessary. Any announcements made will be placed on the website home page.
• We have no responsibility for the content of any websites other than our own, even if our site links to other websites. If a website we link to contains illegal content, please contact me and I will check it out and remove the link if necessary.
• We may restrict or suspend use of the website (typically for repairs, introduction of services or general maintenance). Where possible, warnings will be posted on the home page of the website beforehand. We will try to do this no more than necessary, and keep the time of disruption as short as possible.

Pricing

• The price and delivery charges will be confirmed by email when your order is accepted, and until then are an estimate only.
• The price quoted for the goods excludes delivery (unless otherwise stated).
• You must pay for the goods (and delivery) when your order is complete and ready for dispatch. You may be asked for a deposit when you place your order, and it must be paid before the order will be accepted. Any deposits paid are non-refundable if you cancel the order, but if we are unable to fulfil it within the agreed terms then it will be refunded to you.
• You must pay by cheque, cash or paypal.
• Items sold as silver are not presently hallmarked, unless stated. These will all weigh less than the legal requirement of 7g to sell as silver. Any items weighing over 7g will
• Some items listed for sale on this website may be listed as sold by proxy from another artist detailed on the website. Where this is the case, it will be stated with a link to the artist's profile.

Delivery

• All and any delivery times quoted are estimates, and we cannot guarantee to deliver at any particular time or date. Items supplied by local artists may be subject to longer delivery timescales.
• If you choose to cancel the contract, we will refund the relevant part of your payment if you have paid in full, less any deposit requested.
• Any contract cancellation will be on the basis that you have no further claim against us under that contract.
• We may deliver the goods in instalments. Each instalment is treated as a separate contract.

Delivery and Risk

• The goods are at your risk from the time of delivery.
• You must inspect the goods on delivery. If any goods are damaged or missing, you must write to tell us within three working days of delivery. If you tell us about loss or damage after that, you must supply proof that the goods were lost or damaged before delivery. You must give us (and any carrier) a fair chance to inspect the damaged goods.
• If goods are delivered with damaged, split or open packaging, please take photographs before opening the package to aid an insurance claim against the courier in the event of the loss or damage of any goods.

Cancellation

• If the order is cancelled (for any reason) you are then to pay us for all stock (finished or unfinished) we may then hold (or to which we are committed) for the order. In the event that this is covered by the deposit, no further monies will be payable.
• We may suspend or cancel the order, by written notice if you fail to pay us any money when due (under the order or otherwise) or you fail to honour your obligations under these terms.

Warranties

• We warrant that:
  • Goods descriptions are accurate, honest and fair.
  • Goods are free from material defect at the time of despatch.
  • The descriptions of goods on our website are for identification only. The goods may vary slightly from their description, of appearance, technical specification, dimensions and weight, and performance.
• If you believe that we have delivered goods which are defective in material or workmanship, you must:
  • Inform us (in writing), with full details, as soon as possible.
  • Allow us to investigate and co-operate as much as reasonably possible with any investigation.
• If the goods are found to be defective in material or workmanship (following our investigations), and you have complied with those conditions (in clause 8.4) in full, we will (at our option) replace the goods or refund the price.
• We are not liable for any other loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, financial loss, loss of profits or loss of use) arising from the contract or the supply of goods or their use, even if we are negligent.
• Our liability is limited in damages to the price of the goods.

• Please note that we may transfer personal information about you to those we may appoint to administer your account or recover amounts owing. That may include, for example, passing information about you to our insurers, debt recovery agents and solicitors if you fail to pay us.

Privacy Policy

Teesside Silversmith is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Nothing is worse than ordering something only to receive regular spam to your home and email addresses for all eternity!

We will only use information you provide to process orders or other purposes described in these policies.

What Information Do We Collect?

When you order from us, we need to know:

• Your Name
• Your E-mail address
• Your Delivery address

This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify of your order status. We also ask for your telephone number which enables us to contact you if there is a problem with your order. We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the store, but this does not record any personal information about yourself other than your IP address, which cannot be used to identify you as an individual.

Will Teesside Silversmith ever pass or sell on information to third parties?

To put quite simply, we would never sell, loan, pass or rent (or any other method of communication) your information on to anyone that does not specifically need it in the fulfilment of your order with us.
