Registering as a Local Artist
Getting on the web with more than just a single line entry on an obscure page somewhere can be a daunting and even challenging experience for many people. At Teesside Silversmith, proper space is made available for you to have an entire page or set of pages about yourself so that you can tell the viewing public exactly what you do, and even show examples in colour images.
Basic registration as a local artist can cost as little as £10.00 per annum, and allows you to have a single page detailing content that you provide. Additional flexibility is available, from having a number of pages in your area of the website providing greater detail of what it is that you have to offer, and even incorporating your own design into the pages (moving away from the standard Teesside Silversmith schema).

Please note that Teesside Silversmith reserves the right to decline a registration or cancel an existing entry without refund on grounds of inappropriate or unrelated content, or misconduct using any of the services provided by us. In such cases, the charge will be applied to the administrative costs of dealing with the matter.
Website Design
The Silver package offers the placement of your content in the existing format of the Teesside Silversmith website, saving you the hassle of designing a unique page and enabling you to focus more on the content and images that you want placed on your page. This can be converted from a number of different document formats into the required HTML page - please contact me for more details if you have an obscure file type!
The Gold package takes this a little further, allowing you to design your own page and make your own unique print on the webpage. Popular document formats such as Microsoft Word can be used to create the design, which will then be translated into the XHTML1.0 standard coding required for this site by the website owner.
Minor changes (text, images)
Minor changes to a web page include modification of text and media content. Please note that large video and audio files cannot be hosted on this site, although you are able to place these on many video sharing sites such as YouTube, and then embed a viewer in your page.
Major changes (layout/styles)
Major changes to a web page include modification of structure and significant changes to layout.
Inclusive Shop Entries
Registering and having a page on this site also offers a number of free listings in the online shop. You will be provided with a username and password when your registration has been completed.
Menu Logo
It is entirely possible to have your own personalised logo (shown above the top of the left-hand menu) on each of your pages. You will need to provide the graphics you want, with a sketch or design describing how the logo should appear, and any text that should go with it.
Background Images
As seen throughout the Teesside Silversmith site, you can have a random image chosen from a selection you provide to replace the default images used on the site. Please bear in mind that text must still be readable with the graphic behind. You can have as many images as you like, and the background will be chosen at random from the selection. You can also specify a background to appear on individual pages by providing the request with the page content/design.
Own Header
You can also personalise the header bar that appears along the top of the page. Please feel welcome to contact me for further information.
