Who We Are

Teesside Silversmith and Teesside Silversmithing Supplies are the trading names of Jon Price, an Artist Jeweller based in Hartlepool (in the North East of England). The business provides educational and jewellery making services to individuals, Adult Education Services and educational establishments such as Schools and Colleges in a variety of areas, including delivery of learning, consultancy relating to courses and classes and the identification and supply of tools and equipment for use within the learning environment.

As an qualified Adult Learning tutor, Jon has experience teaching Silversmithing and Jewellery Making and providing services for organisations such as Stockton Adult Education (now Tees Achieve) as a Silversmithing Tutor for an evening class in Silversmithing and Jewellery Making (including the delivery of an NCFE Qualification) and the City of Sunderland College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Team in provision of several workshops for their organised CPD events.

As well as a wide-ranging knowledge of the IT sector covering both hardware and software systems, Jon has also worked closely with and in an e-Learning environment and has experience in developing materials and courses for a number of different e-Learning platforms including Moodle and Blackboard, as well as the installation and setting up, management and maintenance of e-Learning systems.

In addition, Jon has a successful reputation as a provider of bespoke handmade silver jewellery in a variety of different forms, a selection of which can be seen in various places on this website. His main interest is in the historical jewellery perspective, primarily pieces found in archaeological surveys dating from around 400AD-1400AD, although most commissions are for modern designs.

This website has been set up initially to provide a portal for advertising the services and products supplied by the business, but also offers a community area for other artists based in the North East to communicate, collaborate and otherwise share ideas and knowledge. The site offers free facilities of a resources section that any visitor is welcome to access, and the facility to have a page in the Local Artists section of the site detailing information about the individual and allowing for a tailored page offering their own unique services on an already frequently visited website, instantly enhancing the number of views they will receive.

The site can also provide an outlet for students and local artists work through the web shop, which has been specially designed and developed by Jon for this purpose.
